Hi, I’m Carolina — and caring for animals has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Some of my earliest memories are of toddling around in diapers, surrounded by Great Danes that were taller than me. I spent much of my childhood visiting my aunt’s farm, riding horses, and growing up alongside chickens, donkeys, dogs, and cats.

Over the years, I’ve shared my life with Dobermans, German Shepherds, Poodles, Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, Pit Bulls, Terriers, Greyhounds — you name it.

Then Came Fry — And Everything Changed

I adopted my Dachshund, Fry, in my 20s. After he became paralyzed, I chose to fight for his life — and though he never walked again, he lived happily for years. That experience led me to a nearby vet clinic, where I offered to help. They hired me that same day, and I began my journey as a veterinary technician.

Since then, I’ve worked in clinics across El Paso, Chicago, and Orlando. I’ve helped animals through surgery, illness, aging, and end-of-life care — but what’s always mattered most to me is presence. I don’t just treat animals; I listen to them, comfort them, and try to understand them. I take the same approach with their humans, offering patience and empathy in the face of uncertainty or grief.

A small dog wearing a large flower crown made of pink and peach-colored flowers, with green leaves and grass accents, being held up indoors.

A young girl with brown hair, wearing a light pink skirt, a white top, and red shoes, reaching out to touch a brown horse through a fence, surrounded by lush green bushes and red flowers.
A woman wearing glasses and blue medical scrubs holding a small brown dachshund dog with long ears, in front of a beige brick wall.

A brown dachshund with a brindle face sitting on a sandy beach, using a black and red wheelchair for mobility, with the ocean and blue sky in the background.
A dog with a wheelchair on its hind legs, attached to a leash, smiling and outdoors on a paved surface.

This isn’t just a job for me. I cherish every moment I spend with animals — whether we’re walking, playing, or simply sitting together.

I believe every animal deserves to feel safe, loved, and understood — especially when their people can’t be there. That’s why I do this.
